This opening paragraph is being written before I even begin the build. I love to see what offerings Lego has during the festive period. This one was bought a few weeks ago, ready for the lead up. I decided to make a first impressions piece for one reason, the box art! I can see from the back of the box that there are STICKERS, at least that is my interpretation before I open it!

I was right! (It could have been worse, though!)
I fell in love with this the moment I saw it. What a sweet looking build. The colours and the festive spirit are wrapped up in it. It consists of five plastic bags, all of which have only pieces within. There are no smaller bags to clog up your waste, which is nice. I would like to have seen pappy bags. Either way, if you are after a new Christmas set, this is great!

Looking over the end build, for which was like the average vehicle base, you can see little tweaks that offer something that can only be described as, ‘quality of life’ additions. Behind the elf driver, there is a clip for his shovel, a hanging lantern and the letter sack sporting one letter! My favourite part is the clockwork key on the rear. It really gives it that toy feeling.

In the back, there is space for the presents to rest, with workshop tools on the wall, just in case building is required on the move! The overall design is recognisable, but has a great feeling to make it worth it. Finally, there is also an interesting choice of having a tree on the roof. It’s either ready to bring down to spread the cheer…or…the set simply just sits ‘under’ the tree!
