Lego Crazy in Chester

On a visit to Chester, last February, we were blessed with two great sites. The first was that of a Lego sprawl of shops and people. This was amazing and replicated the shops that can be found in the city centre. I can only do it so much justice through these words and would highly recommend seeing it for yourself.

The piece, titled, ‘Chester in Lego’, can be found in the new market and is placed tidily amongst the food stalls and dining space. There are fun aspects to it, aswell; they encompass a small amount of quirky additions that create an almost ‘Where’s Wally’ ideal to the seriousness of the build. I’ll leave you to see them in your own time. Each shop has been well represented and turned into a game of, ‘have we been in that one?’ Excellent stuff.

The second space that we looked at, was within the Cathedral. They have been recreating this fabulous building in the form of Chester Cathedral in Lego and I paid a whole £1 to add a brick to the module that was on the table. The detail is astounding and they have been at work for quite some time. It was another build that demands your attention, showing parts of the historical structure that would not easily be seen from ground level.

Besides the beauty of the Cathedral, this is a worthy visit, and has much knowledge to absorb on your way around.

(I shall be adding a video of the City Centre build in the coming months, watch this space.)
