I have, recently, picked up a trailer-tent. You would argue that it is actually a micro-camper trailer! Either way, this is a Comanche Montana, a leisure company that hails from Barcelona, Spain. I have been unable to find the towing plate, but have found some information on line about it. This means that I can’t be sure of its age. I can use the frame’s ID code, to help on this. It was a free item, off of Gumtree. It towed really well, with the electrical issue not from it, but from the manky 12N socket that is on Vyvyan. This will be replaced! I have only, partially, opened it. Inside is the body go the tenting. I could see that it needs a cleaning and reseal of the stitching. The setup is simple:
- Unlock and lift over the lid of the trailer.
- Using the built in foot-bar, have the lid lay on the ground.
- The tent will then be braced with the given bars.
- On short trips, it can be hooked to itself which removes the need for pegging the canvas, down.

Over-all, it allows for four sleeping, and a simple way to have a camping option that takes you off the ground. Until I can fully open it, needing a bit more space than I have, I can determine what other bits are needed. For now, I will leave it at that, but look out for part two, in the future, as I remove the axle for painting and service. Four bolts…and it’s off!
