It was me, I admit it! When I was replacing the plug and socket on the trailer, I had twisted them upside down! This meant that the coloured wires were all over the place. I just wanted to rant about my mistake. If you watch my Build with G episodes, you will know that I leave my mistakes in, as I want everyone to know that we are all susceptible to them! All it meant was that when I tested it, it was all over the place, with the fog light being on and the brake lights remaining lit…perminently! So, I took it all apart! I did use ferrules on it, this time, it looked quite professional! Before this change, I had never pulled one of these apart. I only ever fitted them, pre-assembled. So, it’s a learning curve…and it’s a good job I like learning!
This is where I found the issue, and it was sorted, quickly. It all works fine, now. So, check, and double check, becuase a moron might have made a mistake, and that moron, might have been ME! For shame! Also, follow the numbers to the colours on the ‘7’ socket…it makes it easier…who would have thought?
