At last, I can talk about another arts and craft piece. My late wife was a huge crafter, with the house being full of materials and tools for the job. Now, I don’t see it in the same frequency, so I like to jump on it, when I can. In the past ten months, or so, my daughter has been crocheting squares. She was asked by her grandmother if she would give it a go so that other members of her church choir could put them all together and create small blankets for those in wheelchairs, during cold weather. Even now, she is still making them, all be it, slower. However, the first one has been made, and here it is.

You can find the square that she made on the inner ring, so this is a cool mix of different people’s work. I was so pleased to see this image, and how her work has been put into such a meaningful item. The colours are whacky, but serve to keep things positive. Think about the achievement of creation. I have always believed that it is creation that allows us to progress, and I believe that the smaller items, particularly ones that hold a greater purpose, should be hailed in the same regard. I just wanted to throw this onto a post and share it. What a fab outcome!
