The April Update – Health and Fitness

As I begin to write this, It’s a couple of weeks until this post is due. I was thinking about what will be written here, and wanted to get a paragraph, in, early. Due to my new found love of running, I am having to change my macro-levels. Where the old data was based on fitness with a small amount of weight loss, it is now altered to keep fitness in mind. Running takes a lot from your fuel reserves, so it is only right that I am having to add to them with more proteins and carbs. The fats are running low, all of the time. It’s always been an issue as I am not drawn to fatty foods, even those that are more healthy, when keeping fitness as the forefront of my daily life.

It’s time to weigh and I have had to settle with the day before the third Saturday of the month. I took this measurement on Friday 18th April, instead of the 19th! This was due to being in Birmingham until Saturday afternoon and I didn’t fancy carrying the scales with me! So…what did it show? The numbers were 4lb (1.8kg) down on last month. This is a little more than usual, so the running is really pushing me further. I am now a grounded 19st 6lbs (123.5kg.) My diet has not changed, apart from the additional protein shakes to backup the muscle building. There is little to say, other than that, but I am happy to be in a good place for further growth.

Figures correct as of 10th April ‘2025.
