We are month into the new fitness year, and quite a bit has happened. After marshalling the triathlon, with Steph, in July, we are both doing it again at the end of this month. Besides that, I have updated my swim times for next month’s triathlon in Cheshire. My weight, as of 16th, is at 18st 9.5lbs (118.6kg.) This means that I have risen by 2lbs, and although it is inherently negative to gain weight, it is down to good reason and should be considered so when you weigh yourself. My muscles have grown, considerably, and muscle is heavy, so that will be the core reason. Over the next two months, I will experiment with intake and training to see what affects my weight. Right now, the over abundance of yoghurt might be a factor that pushed me more than necessary.

The newest thing to have happened is that I have finally moved to swimming in open water. Steph kindly bought me a glide suit from Zone3. It is amazing and I am looking forward to doing it more. Every week, if I have my way! We did the swim, together, and it was such a peaceful afternoon, in a gem of a place, near Stoke-on-Trent. Right now, I am working up to the triathlon, so it is what life is all about. The diet is still on track, with figures being kept to make me stronger, without shifting my weight, too much. I will have news of the triathlon in the next post, so fingers crossed!
