This past moth has been about adjusting to the colder months and redesigning the recording sheets to match new targets. I have mentioned before about the need to control and measure everything that you eat. It sound quite a stubborn way of living, but it works well and I made great progress in muscle growth and swimming capabilities. The biggest change is about the amount of front-crawl (freestyle) that I now do in the pool. In the last three weeks, I changed to now doing all forty lengths (1km) with this stroke, alone. This month, I have lost 4.5lbs (2kg), bringing me down to 20st 6.5lbs (130kg.)

For my first Triathlon, I need to be able to do eight lengths in the 25m pool, something that seemed impossible in mid-November, and before. My pattern shifted from three lengths in a row, to five, then sixteen, twenty-one, twenty-two and finally, the big FORTY! I have put the sudden increase down to the pracise with the pull-buoy, float and paddle-gloves. These have offered me the chance to increase the difficulty, thus making normal swimming, much easier…over time!
I suppose I should mention that it is Christmas Day, as of the publishing day of this article. So, Merry Christmas! Be well and remember to stay safe and enjoy the company of others. We never know when we might miss them!
