The Winter-Wheels are Built!

I wanted to create a safe riding option with my road-bike. So, I decided to repair my old ‘front’ wheel and buy a used rear one. I still need to add the cassette to the back, but the tyres and tubes are fitted and they look great. Using slicks doesn’t fill me with a lot of confidence, so have grooves in the tire will displace water on the road’s surface. In turn, this will minimise the slippage I might face. The wheel was gotten from a used-bicycle charity, in Stafford. I have bought everything from whole bikes to an innertube, from these guyes. Take a look.

Freewheel is missing its cassette.

It is in need of more use, as I need to step up my regime. I have now placed myself onto the Birmingham Triathlon, in July, next year. With two booked, I must make sure that I am ready. I do believe that if I was to do one, now, I might ‘just’ about manage it. I’m not sure what’d be left of me, mind!
