Protein Power

We are in need of many different chemicals and substances to keep alive. We know how we use the mixes of gas in the air as the way we breath. We know that when we eat, we add more energy. But how often do we look at the workings of our bodies and choose the right thing for it? When I began losing weight, some years ago, I became attuned to how my body works, but like I have stated in another post, things have changed, since then.

Not quite me…

I have been finding out how I work and have made great strides in my choices for intake. Protein is a huge part of my diet and I can feel the benefits within my muscles. They are so much more toned, with my belly slowly decreasing, too, I am feeling better than I have, for years. Understanding the way protein works, has changed how I eat. Along with the usual array of chicken, rice and potatoes, I am eating dry snacks at regular intervals and making sure that I am loaded up, throughout the day.

My exercise is being well assessed, with intake being matched to it. My daily calories are now regularly 75% more than they were, with my first 300% of my burn target happening, last week. I can’t say it enough, learning how you work will change everything. I knew this, years ago, but never understood how I would change and how my age would alter my needs as I build my body up and exchange the fat for muscle.
