Recently, I was running through Doxy Marshes, in Stafford, where I use it as an add on to my running routes when at Steph’s. on this occasion, I took the long route around, like I usually do, and just before the short route joins back up, there were two swans either side of the path. One adult, and a cygnet. They left a gap in-between as if you lure you into a false sense of security.
I came to a slow and thought I’d try, but they hissed and went all Gandalf on me. I felt like the Balrog, being held back! I’m sure I heard them say, ‘Though shall not pass!’ After a minutes of jiggling on my toes, I conceded defeat and returned all of the way back. It did add an extra kilometre to my run, so I could thank them for that. Just a quip I wanted to stick on a post. I do come across some interesting things as I run. I almost want to put a body cam on so I can show y’all.
