I do like it when a Friends set makes it’s may onto my desk. This one is of the usual, pretty, colours, and has a few characters to play with. in the box you will find Leo, Alba, Opal and Bubbles. To make the set even better, the boat, that out mini-dolls are paddling, is an axolotl, too! The pinks and purples are fantastic, adding to the pleasure of the build. This is, of course, made for the younger builders, but I think that’s unfair, so get your hands on this, and enjoy! It isn’t a long build, but it is very much like the process found in forming the Minecraft sets. There is even a feeling of the Mario or Animal Crossing sets, too.
Opening the box, we find that there are pappy-bags, which is great. The boat and Leo, are in the first bag, with Alba and the rest, in the second. It uses a printed face for the boat, making it such a happy build. I did like the small water bottle that is formed, for Leo. I did note that this is the second set the Leo has been included in. I paid £7.99 for this, and found that on many occasions, this would be at least pound more, so, I have made this a ‘below’ the average cost, set.
You will note that the small diorama has some lovely, watery, colours, having stretched reeds and sweet flowers upon its reef. It is, by all measures, a great birthday gift, or simply a time-user, on a rainy day. It is more of a display, but does offer some kind of play factor, especially if you have a set like the Heartlake Surf Shop set. I did build this set, the review can be found, here. This offers a cheap addition to other Friends builds, and I think it is just a fill-in and not much else. I like it, but reckon that it would depend on what you already have in your Lego box.
