Set Review – 77046 Julian’s Birthday Party

I decided that it was time to head for an Animal Crossing set, for this one. I have a few on the back-burner, and this one is small enough to film for Build with G. When time allows, I will build some larger sets, with a Smart Brick set, coming soon, well, as soon as I can! This set has the usual colours. It’s bright and gorgeous, and like the others, it truly encapsulates the vibe that the games offer. I always feel happy building sets from this range, and this one is following the playlet trends that have been found with Celeste’s Stargazing set, and the Mario sets before it. I have spotted that this is now a retired set, so you would need to look for stock from online sellers to get your hands on it. If little hands are wanting this, especially if it is missing from their Crossing landscape, then I would recommend it. There isn’t a lot to build, but it can be a cool activity for a younger one to sit on the lounge floor, or at the table, on that rainy day we often have…in the UK, anyway!

Wide boxes are awkward!

This is as cute as all of the other Animal Crossing sets, and is a much to be expected, build. It comes together well and is the usual fiddly construction you come to expect…at least if you have large hands…like me! It has placky-bags, which is more a sign of the set’s age, that whether Lego missed it. The most endearing part of it, is Julian. He is a fantastic minifigure. His birthday hat sits upon his head, and is even ready for the occasion when you place the microphone in his hand.

Plastic bags!

I do think there is nothing spectacular about it, but is a good collectible, would fit into the rest of your Animal Crossing landscape, or simply, a good build for little hands. Even though the scenery is akin to the games, I do believe that their selling point is the figures. I only got the airport set, in the past, because I wanted the cool dodos. Still, it’s cool and worth hunting for. It is, after all, another chance to find a set with the colours of the rainbow, and not from the Friends range!

First Impressions – It’s like the others, but I nice addition if you are collecting these.
