I have recently been suffering with the worst cold in many years, and a friend got me thinking. When she visited, I kept my distance, but was made aware that it could be Covid. After she had gone, I pondered on whether it could be. So…in my cupboard, were some tests. In fact, there were two full boxes that were out-of-date, and an open box with two left in it. I grabbed one of these and got to testing. (Click the ‘boxes’ link above, to learn how to use the Rapid Lateral Flow Tests. You can also click, here!)

Having spent much of 2020 and 2021 testing twice a week, I had somehow now forgotten how to do it. I had to keep on top of it as my late wife was still here, and she would have suffered terribly if I wasn’t ready to seal myself away. After a short while, I remembered what I had to do and jabbed the bud up my nose. Following the usual process, it came out as negative. Weirdly, I was relevieved by this, yet another feeling based on the trauma of that time. I do wonder, how many people are still testing? Tests now cost money, so it is likley that 99% of individuals will most likely not do it, but there might be some. It isn’t required, now, but we should still be careful. Many lost their lives, and some are still feeling it, all this time later. As it is still in the environment, we are always threatened by it. Just a thought, and one that I hope others might consider joining me, by testing when you are in a tricky situation. Stay well!
