Well, this is a funny set. There are those occasions when the designers at Lego have an incredible idea, one that surpasses the usual cars and buildings that you would normally find on the shelf. These ideas are often unusual, but make for interesting builds. This time, it’s a suitcase. It’s not any suitcase, either! It has a set of holiday bits to place inside of it. These include a camera, a toothbrush, a passport, a flight ticket and a sandwich. It’s quite odd that my attention was given to the fact that the food was not boxed for transport, rather than the mundane build that was to be. In fact, this is actually a cute and funny idea.

Opening the box, there were pappy-bags. You already know, at this point, that it is a set for display, not really for play. It offers a fantastic build as a birthday gift, or a packed build for the holiday journey, this Summer. It is not a long build, but it doesn’t need to be, it feels like a treat, being given off by it’s quirkiness. I do think that there is space for some more of these whacky inanimate sets. Choose a random object, and off you go. I’m not sure that a washing machine would be a good call, though… This has some cool features that I really enjoyed. The bag has a travel tag on it, just like you would have attached in an airport. This one is for an airport destination, tagged as BLL! There is also a set of wheels for ease of transport, and a neat liftable handle, just like a real one.

As always, this is built in the Build with G series, where you will find a mistake in my build. I prefer to keeop the mistakes in as it is normal and a good way to learn. This is nothing compared to next week’s Technic set! Anyway…given the material to work with, I do really like this. I think that it is a reasonably priced build and worth the £9. Give it a go, maybe build it with me? I will say, though, that the Lego logo is a printed tile, so that is probably the best part of it! Other stickers are used for decoration. I chose not to add the holibobs stickers to the front of my case, but then, I do like things to look clean. What are your thoughts on strange sets, like this one?
